The Most Expensive Electrical Mistake Is Guessing

One Plan Instead of 3 Rounds of Panel Work

Add the EV charger now, the heat pump next year, the hot tub after that, and you can pay for panel work 3 times, or for a 400A service you never needed. The Roadmap replaces that guesswork with one sequenced, engineered plan built on your real usage data.

What's in Your Roadmap

A Written Engineering Deliverable, Not a Sales Quote

01

Current Capacity, Verified

An engineered load calculation built from 12+ months of your Toronto Hydro interval data, so you know your home's true headroom, not a nameplate guess.

02

Every Upgrade You're Weighing

EV charger, heat pump, induction range, hot tub, battery, each modeled with diversity factors so you see what actually fits on your existing service.

03

The Right Sequence

The order to add things in, so a today decision doesn't force you to redo panel work, or buy capacity, twice.

04

Budget Scenarios

Clear cost ranges for each path, including the “no service upgrade needed” option whenever the data supports it.

05

Rebates Identified

Applicable Save on Energy (IESO), Canada Greener Homes, and Toronto Hydro programs flagged up front, so incentives are part of the plan, not an afterthought.

06

A Written Report You Keep

A clear document, prepared under professional engineering review, that you can act on, budget from, and hand to any contractor.

Built for Homeowners Who Are About to Spend

Is the Roadmap for You?

YOU'LL GET THE MOST FROM IT IF YOU'RE...

  • Planning a renovation and want the electrical sequenced correctly
  • About to buy an EV, heat pump, induction range, or hot tub
  • Told you "need 200A or 400A" and want it verified before you spend
  • Buying a home and want to know what it can actually support
  • Electrifying over time and want a 10-year plan, not a one-off fix
A Sample Roadmap

What a Sequenced Plan Looks Like

Simplified for illustration. Every roadmap is specific to your home and your data.

1

Today

200A service confirmed with roughly 60A of real headroom, not the zero a contractor assumed. Add a Level 2 EV charger now with load management. No upgrade.

2

Year 1 to 2

Heat pump sized and added on the existing service, using verified capacity rather than a new feed.

3

Year 3

Induction range swapped in, panel circuits re-balanced to keep margin.

4

Future

Hot tub and battery backup staged in, with the one possible service upgrade deferred until the data says it is actually required, if ever.

One plan. Upgrades added in order. ~$12,000 service upgrade avoided.

Roadmap Pricing

$399

Credited toward your project if you proceed. Recent clients have avoided $10,000 to $15,000 in unnecessary upgrades. The Roadmap typically pays for itself many times over, or it confirms, in writing, that you are already fine.

Roadmap Questions

The kind we would give before you commit a dollar of capital. Tap a question.

What exactly do I get?
A written engineering report covering your home's current verified capacity, every upgrade you're considering modeled against it, the right sequence to add them in, budget ranges, and any rebates that apply. It's a document you keep and can act on.
How is this different from a contractor's quote?
A quote prices one job a contractor wants to install. The Roadmap is an independent, engineered plan based on your actual Toronto Hydro usage data, and it recommends only what the load math supports, including telling you when you don't need an upgrade at all.
Do I have to do the work with Energable?
No. The report is yours to use with any contractor. If you do proceed with us, the $399 is credited toward your project, so the planning effectively becomes free.
What do you need from me?
Photos of your panel, a recent hydro bill or a Toronto Hydro usage export, and a short note on what you're planning. We'll tell you if anything else would sharpen the analysis.
What if my service is already fine?
Then we tell you that, in writing, with the math behind it. Documenting that you don't need the upgrade someone quoted is often the most valuable result the Roadmap delivers.
Is this actually engineered?
Yes. The Roadmap is prepared under professional engineering review (PEO) using the LDC Data Method, the same interval-data analysis we use on full assessments.
